JUST IN: PBSO says Royal Palm woman ‘removed’ mother’s eyes in killing her

A Royal Palm Beach woman facing a first-degree murder charge for allegedly killing her mother Friday stabbed her repeatedly and “removed” her eyeballs, according to an arrest report.

“I’m a murderer, I’m a murderer,” Camille Balla said to Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies after they arrived at the Country Club Village home the women shared.

Balla, 32, told deputies she killed Francisca Monteiro-Balla, 55, after smoking marijuana she believed was laced with PCP.

Balla was denied bond by Judge Ted Booras during a court appearance Monday morning. She was removed from the courtroom after shouting words in a foreign language.

Which, is, of course, actually an argument for legalization.  Many of the downsides of illegal drugs are caused by illegality, rather than the drugs per se (quality variations and adulteration resulting in overdoses or other effects not associated with the drug one believes one is taking, problems that wouldn't be there in legal drugs with regulatory quality controls).
