Supreme Court takes up new immigration detention dispute

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday took up a new dispute over the detention of immigrants, agreeing to hear an appeal by President Donald Trump's administration of a lower court ruling it says hampers the deportation of immigrants who have committed crimes.

The case, the latest immigration-related dispute to come before the nine justices at a time when the administration has taken a hard line toward immigrants, involves people convicted of criminal offenses who are detained by the government for possible deportation after finishing their sentences.

Under federal immigration law, immigrants who are convicted of certain offenses are subject to mandatory detention during their deportation process. They can be held indefinitely without a bond hearing after completing their criminal sentences.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

When SCOTUS ever takes a case um .. "adjudicated" .... by the Ninth Circus it's guaranteed to be overturned.

Guaranteed.  Always happens.   Northern California is a bigger threat than Iran, DPRK, Russia and China COMBINED to our beautiful American miracle.

I was in San Fran last October and it smells like urine.   California is Third World, with ridiculously rich (Silicon Valley/Hollywood) potentates stepping over the most destitute humans on Earth.
