Graham calls for Senate Judiciary hearing on McCabe firing
By Brett Samuels - 03/18/18 10:11 AM EDT

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday said he believes the Senate Judiciary Committee should  hold a hearing on the firing of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe.

“I think we owe it to the average American to have a hearing in the judiciary committee where Attorney General Sessions comes forward with whatever documentation he has about the firing, and give Mr. McCabe the chance to defend himself,” Graham, a member of the panel, said on CNN’s “State of the Union."

“I believe when it comes to this issue we need as much transparency as possible to make sure it wasn’t politically motivated,” he added.

There's still a full report to be released.  Can't we just see what's in that first, Lindsey?
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Hah hah.

Graham, get your crystal ball tuned up.

This is not going to play out the way Your Party (the one across the aisle) wants it to.

I have a feeling Graham knows what the report says and wants to give it even more airtime.

Or, he wants the IG Report released to just his committee, where it can be locked up forever under "National Security" issues and it gets no coverage at all, ever.

You really give Stinkfish way too much credit.  That man has been without a clue for 6 or more years.

Words cannot express my disdain for little lindsey, obviously attempting to pick up the schmuck-slack for McCain, and little lindsey's comments here.  Well, ok.... words could express it... but those words would probably get me a timeout.

Hey Lindsey.... you're not God... and ergo are not privy to every bit of knowledge on the planet.  Some things you're just gonna have to deal with ... preferably in silence.  So please...
STFU.  Until you're called on to speak again.  (dreaming, I know, I know)

Maybe we should have hearings on the election, to find out if it was politically motivated.    *****rollingeyes*****

He and Little Marco both need to STFU!!   I'm surprised that McCain hasn't weighed in on this.  Maybe he's too ill.

This is precisely the reason that I think the President should NOT weigh in on the fates of career government employees (but especially ones under investigation).  The President’s involvement provides fodder for those who claim political motivation.  I suspect Sessions’ job would have been much easier and announced sooner had the President not weighed in.  Based on what I know about the IG review and the Office of Personal Responsibility, I suspect the firing was totally justified, but the President’s involvement probably just made it that much more difficult.   JMO.

I think that's true.  I also think that with the way Trump is always spouting off about something, literally anything that happens in DeeCee can be laid at the feet of some sort of partisanship.

"What difference at this point does it make?”

None other simply being another self-inflicted wound which is nothing new to this Administration:  from "forgotten" meetings with Russians and incomplete SF-86 forms to talk of seizing guns first and due process second to poorly thought out policy to lies/falsehoods/misleading statements/distractions.  I just think he often makes his job and that of his Administration harder than it needs.  That is exactly what I think he's done here by weighing in on a career government employee's fate.  His Administration should now strap themselves in for these hearings now being discussed by some members of both parties.

@Cyber Liberty  Yikes, wouldn't there be too much screaming and yelling to keep it under wraps?
