Are The Social Media Giants Trying To Steal The 2018 Elections By Censoring Conservative Websites?

Whenever radical leftists have taken power anywhere in the world, they have always tried to shut down free speech.
Michael Snyder — March 9, 2018

Nobody is disputing the fact that YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other social media giants are censoring conservative material.  In fact, this is probably the largest purge of conservative voices in the history of the Internet.  Obviously, this is going to cause large numbers of people to stop using their platforms, so why would they do this?  Well, to some conservatives the answer is obvious.  These social media giants watched Donald Trump use their platforms extremely effectively in 2016, and many believe that they are absolutely determined to never let that happen again.  In fact, Mike Adams of Natural News is completely convinced that there is a concerted effort by these social media giants to steal the 2018 elections…

Among the conceits of people on the left is that people on the right are being led around by the nose by conservative media outlets. They really believe that without the conservative outlets, all these people voting for conservative candidates (or as in Trump's case, Republican) would be hardcore libs/leftists dreaming of the next big socialist revolution.
They have the cart before the horse.  There are conservative websites and talk shows because conservative people are demanding them.
One of my lib brothers was outraged that FOX news was allowed to air all their nasty right-wing lies affecting many millions of people.  When I informed him that only about three million adults watch FOX news daily, it dissuaded him none the least. He still couldn't believe that people could be natural conservatives.
No doubt, most libs think the same way. How could anybody not love their Glorius Leader Barack?

Controlling what you think, is the hallmark of Despots intent on your enslavement.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

  • Well-behaved women seldom make history.
The original article is interesting, but even more interesting are the articles it links to from The Outline.  They do a fair bit to actually undercut the point made by the FreedomOutpost.

For example, FB data confirmed by both the left- and right-wing publications surveyed, indicates that:

"Both liberal and conservative publishers [including GatewatPundit, Breitbart, ThinkBlue, and Buzzfeed] of clickbait and highly polarizing content also experienced a significant drop in engagement following Facebook’s News Feed de-prioritization announcement."
Both liberal and conservative publishers of clickbait and highly polarizing content also experienced a significant drop in engagement following Facebook’s News Feed de-prioritization announcement.

The publishers who are "suffering" from FB's change are those that rely on passive reading -- the ones that are doing better are the ones that rely on readers actively sharing and liking their articles.
