Amphibious ready groups (ARGs) need dedicated aircraft to be added to fleet logistics support squadrons (the VRC community). The Navy’s choice of the CMV-22 as its new carrier on-board delivery (COD) aircraft creates an opportunity to answer the ARGs’ logistics requirement quickly, with little risk, and without the usual delays associated with new program creation.
