Florida school board unanimously votes to oppose arming teachers

A Florida school board Tuesday unanimously voted to oppose any plan to arm teachers in the wake of last month’s deadly school shooting.

The Hillsborough County School Board, which encompasses Tampa, Fla., unanimously supported a motion to oppose arming teachers in schools, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

"I feel like we need to take a stand with our students, families and teachers," board member Cindy Stuart said, according to the Times. "It is wrong arming anyone other than law enforcement on our campus."

Glad it was unanimous.  Makes it easier for me to simply remember to vote against any incumbent.

Tampa and most Hillsborough Co schools suck.  We had to pull our son out and send him to private school back in the 90's.  It has only gotten worse.

Yeah. You keep depending on law enforcement to save you. It worked out swell in Broward.
