Jerusalem (CNN) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was questioned "under caution" in Case 4000, according to an Israeli official, making him a suspect now in three corruption investigations.  Investigators questioned Netanyahu at his residence in Jerusalem for five hours Friday morning, marking the eighth time the Israeli leader has been questioned in graft probes targeting him and his inner circle.

An Israeli official told CNN that Netanyahu was questioned "under caution," which refers to the questioning of someone suspected of having committed a crime, with the warning that anything they say, or decline to talk about, could be used against them in court proceedings.

Police simultaneously interrogated Netanyahu's wife, Sara, at a different location. She too was questioned "under caution" in Case 4000, the official said. Her lawyer also confirmed those details to Reuters.

Case 4000 is one of the biggest investigations facing the Israeli leader, dealing with the relationship between the Ministry of Communications -- at a time when Netanyahu was the Communications Minister -- and Israeli telecommunications firm Bezeq.

Prosecutors say Netanyahu advanced regulatory benefits worth up to 1 billion shekels (approximately $280 million) to Shaul Elovitch, Netanyahu's friend who is the controlling shareholder of Bezeq. In exchange, prosecutors say Elovitch gave Netanyahu favorable news coverage in online news site Walla! News, owned by Elovitch.

My take: Israel can not fail once. Neti stands up to the muslim threat. The American Jews and the liberal Jews in Israel would take deadly chances with Israel's safety.

If you can ASSURE me he would be replaced by somebody EQUALLY inclined to safeguard Israel, I'll listen.

My take @truth_seeker ... Netanyahu's entire grip on power is because --- even though they know and acknowledge he is corrupt to his core ---he keeps telling Israelis no one can replace him.  It's why in 2015 he, without precedent, assumed the offices of Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Communications Minister .... knowing Israelis will give any power to their savior.  It's why Israelis accept no Vice Premier --- no line of succession whatsoever --- from Likud.

No, I cannot assure of this @truth_seeker ... no one can.  Not for Israel, not for any nation.

After nearly four decades in power, around power, influencing power, Netanyahu should be spending his 70th decade acting as statesman --- a resource for the new generation taking the reigns of power. He should serve as a reminder of the past, without trying to own Israel's future. 

As your post proves, Netanyahu's mantra that Israel will not survive without him is universally accepted.  I rage against this ---not just because I think he is corrupt ---but because I fear this will become a self-fulfilling prophesy.   

If Netanyahu and his ardent supporters continue to use their mantra to block requisite political change, I curse them both for so harming Israel.

Exactly what I pointed out as well. All one needs to do is examine Bibi’s life and service compared to Trump’s, then make an informed decision. Bibi probably has heel spurs, too.
