@musiclady @corbe I've been fairly unimpressed with Sessions, so far. He had to know the Russia issue would continue into the admin after the inauguration. He'd also know whether he'd recuse himself or not, so he never should have accepted the position. It would have avoided the Moore/Jones mess and probably the Mueller investigation, as well.
That said, letting the IG investigate the FISA issue isn't the worst idea. Anything he finds can be acted upon. What's discovered by the IG doesn't look politically directed by the WH. So it doesn't happen fast enough for Trump. Too damn bad. Few things in life conform to your timeline.
