That's not quite accurate.  Their recent decision not to hear the case only meant they wouldn't skip over the Federal Court appeals process and expedite the case.  They'll probably get it sometime near fall.

It depends on how other things are going and on what grounds they impeach him.  By the time the 2020 election rolls around, we will have had many quarters to analyze economic growth.  The presidential election turnout is always higher than off years and midterms.  If there's no major crisis or conflict, it could backfire spectacularly.

Hope springs.   But let's not underestimate our opponents.  They are highly motivated right now.... by their hatred of all things Trump.  And hatred, being the main motivation factor for leftists, is a powerful incentive.   Add to that whatever October surprise they will have planned.... and I'm feeling a bit nervous here.

Six months is an eternity in politics.  At that point, we won't be voting in the midterms.  You can't worry too much about what's going to happen 2.5 years from now, where politics are concerned.  Way too much can happen.

Aside from the obvious.... that they hate anyone and everyone that isn't on 'their leftist side'....

I imagine that they also hate Trump for jumping off the DemocRat Plantation.  Can't have that.  It must be nipped in the bud and the behavior punished.... cause the trend might catch on...

   History proves as Lincoln and the Republicans buried the Whigs in less than 2 Presidential election cycles, granted @Emjay the Whigs refused to take a stand on Slavery but just as the Tea Party arose quickly in 2009 due primarily to the Budgets/Deficits spiraling out of control, It could happen again, please don't deny this Man his Dreams.   :beer:
