John Kasich: US may be witnessing 'the end of a two-party system'
by Melissa Quinn | Feb 25, 2018, 12:22 PM

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican, predicted Sunday the country could be starting to see the demise of the two-party system.

“We may be beginning to see the end of a two-party system,” Kasich told ABC’s “This Week.” “I’m starting to really wonder if we are going to see a multi-party system at some point in the future in this country because I don’t think either party is answering people’s deepest concerns and needs.”

The Ohio Republican said he believes the shift could be ushered in by younger generations.

“I mean, I don't think it's going to happen tomorrow, but I think over time, do not be surprised if these millennials and these Gen Xers begin to say, ‘Neither party works, we want something new,'" he said.

And a dog bit him on the buttocks at least one time.  He might have retired on disability.  Not sure about that however.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

“I mean, I don't think it's going to happen tomorrow, but I think over time, do not be surprised if these millennials and these Gen Xers begin to say, ‘Neither party works, we want something new,'" he said.

If any generation would have nixed the two-party system, it would have been the anti-war, anti-establishment baby boomers, who were far more political than the millennials or genX.  The boomers didn't reinvent the system, for the simple reason that eventually they had to grow up and fend for themselves. The same will be said for millennials, especiallt since they will have the option of escaping into 3D virtual reality, where everything can be just the way they want it.

Kasich is a fool, and this is not the first time he has jumped the shark.

Two fouls committed there - eating in front of the press and eating spaghetti while wearing a white shirt.

Third foul - not twirling your spaghetti with into a spoon so you don't eat like a slob!   :silly:

Does this son of a mailman think the 2 party system is over or is he just wishing it were so his half assed 2020 Presidential run seems viable?

 Johnny K was a mailman's son
And while his daddy delivered he'd come along
While they opened their bills and started squawkin'
That's when Johnny would never stop talkin'
All through my back yard he'd go walkin'
Then he'd see me roll my eyes
 Lord knows, to my surprise

The only one who could ever bore me
Was the son of a mailman
The only boy who could ever snore me
Was the son of a mailman
 Yes he was
 He was, ooh
 Yes he was

They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Any politician that does not clearly state the existing system failed, schools and LEOs failed to LOCK THIS GUY UP, is not close to the correct answer.

Hick and Kasich just two typical practitioners, of "political correctness," and fear of offending anybody.

Listen to CPAC speech by Ben Shapiro for a breath of fresh air on the subject.

Look in a mirror, azzhole.  You are why the party is falling apart.  You, personally.  And you had such great promise in 1994.

I don’t know what the hell is going on with him there.  Aside from his weird skin tone, he’s got a navy blazer with black pants.  Maybe he’s colorblind.

That's, that issue. The interview itself was terrible and to me he came across as a real jerk and how many times did he call himself a Republican?

As many times as @Jazzhead does, and I believe it just as much.

Except for @massadvj , no substantive remarks.  Speaking as a man without a party I hope Kasich is right.  Neither party has the moral foundation to lead and neither party has a cohesive ideology to frame a moral foundation.  I can't support either.
