CNN: Florida School Shooter Obtained 10 Rifles in Last Year

Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old Parkland, Florida, high school shooter, obtained 10 rifles in the past year or so, a law enforcement source told CNN on Monday.

Kim Waltuch, CEO of Gun World of South Florida in Deerfield Beach, said Cruz bought two weapons from that store, and said the sales followed normal gun purchase protocol, the CNN report said.

Students and staff at the site of the shooting, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, said they were determined the deaths of 17 students and staff members would lead to positive change. A group of them is headed to Tallahassee, Florida, to speak to lawmakers about gun control and school safety, the report said.

Four students remain hospitalized from injuries suffered in the shooting, CNN reported.

James and Kimberly Snead, the couple who took in Cruz, said Monday the situation was a "roller coaster of emotions."

Until they show the guns I'm calling this Fake News.  I read several stories which state the family made him buy a gun locker for his one "assult" rifle.   That gun was The AR he used to do the deed.

Where does a 19 year-old high school dropout get that kind of disposable income? I'm assuming a cost of about $400-500 per rifle, and AR's cost a hell of a lot more than that. And then, he would have had to fill out a Firearms Transaction Record Form 4473 for each one, without raising any red flags?

This kid was a Baller.  He worked at the Dollar Tree.  He road his Mountain Bike to work cuz he couldn't afford a car.

At 22 the kid was set to inherit 800K from his dead adoptive rents life insurance policies.   Unless he worked a deal with J.G. Wentworth  he was popoor as a church mouse.

I call this fake news as well unless they can show us the guns or bill of sale. Now if he was married I would guarantee it would be fake news. Hard enough sneaking one or two new purchases each year nto the house and into the safe under the wifes nose, much less 10.

Interview of the family who took him in, said today he had numerous rifles and they bought a rifle case and they were locked up and he, the husband, thought he had the only key.

Growing up in one of the many rural fly over states my family had many rifles for my brothers an I to choose from.  I am thinking about doing the same and getting back to my roots.

I couldn't afford that. And I'm a grown man.

Add to the $5000+ money he had to come with, the ammo for all those weapons would be another five grand. Where did all the money come from?

Also, if he had $800,000 coming to him, why would he wreck his whole life killing kids at a school? Why would he care? That is like buying a yacht and driving it straight into the nearest island. Why would anyone do that?

Who gets the 'theoretical' money now? Fallow the money.
