Republican Senator Marco Rubio called for the Venezuelan Armed Forces to rebel against the government, in a series of inflammatory tweets posted on Friday. The Secretary of State has hinted at support for a coup d’etat.

“The world would support the Armed Forces in #Venezuela if they decide to protect the people & restore democracy by removing a dictator,” Florida Senator Rubio wrote.

Rubio’s tweets come after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Thursday hinted at his support for a coup d’etat in Venezuela, as well as more sanctions including an embargo on Venezuela’s valuable oil exports.

So according to Reuters, slaves throwing off their chains is "inflammatory" as long as the slave master is a leftest...

Republicans used to support right-wing military coups, often.

They were considered better for the US, than having a communist regime in the hemisphere.

So Rubio is merely harkening back to dayes of olde, when conservatives were bold.

And.... in the "good ole days'..... our CIA used to work, covertly, in those nations toward that same goal.   Now, they just work against the good ole USA.  My, how things have changed.

The military in Venezuela is as leftist as the Maduro regime.  I don't see the benefit.
