The historical illiteracy is glaring.
Unless a misstep in the Korean nuclear stand-off manages to vindicate Schumer's view at some point in the future, I'd say Trump is no where near as dangerous or bad as the feckless bunch of Presidents who gave us the Civil War (Buchanan worst of the lot), or as the genocidal maniac Andrew Jackson with his forced deportation of American Indians (poetically called by its victims "the Trail of Tears") and trampling of the constitutional order "Justice Marshall has made his ruling, now let him enforce it," or Woodrow Wilson who imported Jim Crow into the Federal Government, got us needlessly involved in a bloody European war, created a propaganda arm of the Federal Government that Goebbels said was the model of the Nazi propaganda machine, and interned political opponents and people of "suspect" ethnicities (not just German nationals, German-Americans and people of a variety of European nationalities besides citizens of the Central Powers).
