Budget talks progress, as Senate Dems drop Dreamer demand

But House Democrats may not support a spending deal that lacks relief for young undocumented immigrants.

Senate Democrats are willing to drop their demand that relief for Dreamers be tied to any long-term budget agreement — a potential boost for spending talks, but one that could face opposition from their House counterparts.

The shift comes in response to the deal struck between Senate leaders Monday to reopen the government and begin debate on an immigration bill next month. Meanwhile, budget negotiators are expressing optimism that a two-year agreement to lift stiff caps on defense and domestic spending is increasingly within reach.

“We’re viewing [immigration and spending] on separate terms because they are on separate paths,” Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said Tuesday.

I think this shows Trump is starting to figure things out.  I knew it would take some time, but I think he's getting there.

Or perhaps the Dims finally figured out that they just got their azzes handed them.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Pick a fight you Can win, and clobber them.

The ACA has become a Hydra with tentacles reaching everywhere and firmly wrapped around much of our current healthcare Institutions.

There's stiff resistance to killing it from Hospitals and more who've switched out their routines to accommodate it and don't want  the trouble and expense of switching back.

We can uproot O'care but it's gonna take time.

People who've had their communities invaded and occupied by illegals know them not as the loud mouthed College Campus Protestors, but as dirty and dangerous, potentially violent thugs.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

When was the last time you knew a Rat to acknowledge defeat?

Publicly or privately?

State level Rat in my town lost his re-election bid last time.

Cops picked him up the next day for slugging his own father.
