Quote
Winfrey makes clear that it's not an issue of whether she could win or not: She's "always felt very secure and confident" and would presumably feel the same way about her chances of winning.

But at the end of the day, running for office just doesn't interest Oprah, a billionaire who has enough on her plate trying to run a TV Channel.

"I actually saw a mug the other day ... I thought it was a cute mug. All you need is a mug and some campaign literature and a T-shirt. I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not.

"It's not something that interests me ... I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That's not for me," Winfrey said

Something tells me she looked outside her Hollywood bubble and saw that no one was the least bit interested in her.

It would have been a fun campaign though.  But she'd have to stay Thin Oprah for a whole year.

If you thought the Obastard Campaign was thin on substance, Oaphra's would have been thinner than piss on a flat rock.

Then I wonder why she gave that speech, with the glasses, the booming voice, the soaring rhetoric. Just like another O who was equally unqualified.

I don't know, but Oprah is far from being the Superstar she was a few years ago.  I think her magazine failed and her network is failing.

Maybe she misses being noticed.

Maybe she misses being noticed.

At least she has Weight Watchers.

The deal breaker was when she found out she wouldn't be able to put 'Oprah Winfrey Presents' ahead of The United States Of America.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

What is the correct answer if you do NOT want to run?

" "It's not something that interests me ... I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That's not for me," Winfrey said"

What is the correct answer if you MIGHT run?

"EVERYBODY Wins a FREE CAR!"

Even at million to one odds, yes, one hell of a bullet.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

There definitely needs to be some sort of 'law' as to who is and isn't allowed to wear spandex.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
