Robert Mueller interested in asking Trump about Michael Flynn, James Comey firings: Report
by Melissa Quinn | Jan 23, 2018, 4:48 PM

Special counsel Robert Mueller wants to ask President Trump about the firings of former national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey, according to a report.

Sources told the Washington Post that Mueller is interested in questioning the president in the next few weeks. The focus on Trump’s decision to fire Flynn and Comey could suggest Mueller and his team are looking into whether the president tried to interfere with the Russia probe.

Trump’s legal team wants the president to answer some questions from Mueller in person and others via a written statement.

The terms for Trump’s interview with the special counsel and his team could be given to them as recently as next week, the Washington Post reported.

Trump should ask Mueller if he has any plans for his future.....and then fire him on the spot for being corrupt.

He should have fired him a long, long time ago.  Firing him now will only give the DEMS some ammo.

They're gonna keep pushing and pushing.   They are daring Trump to fire Mueller.  It's their current moist dream, in fact.  I don't think Trump is dumb enough to give them what they want.

Mueller's going for the hail mary, hoping Trump says something intemperate or not 100% accurate. I hope Trump's lawyers are offering replies to written questions only.

Trump should respond with a list of questions for Mueller regarding what he knows about Uranium One, since he was FBI director at the time of the deal.

Submit the questions in writing and when the POTUS has time, he'll answer them.

Flynn was fired before a special counsel was appointed.  Not sure how he could be interfering in a probe that hadn't happened yet.

If the Democrats had a lick of sense they'd be begging Mueller not to do this.  If it's okay to have a special counsel ask Trump why he fired an at - will employee, then it will be okay to ask the next Democrat president that question and more. What goes around comes around.

They will make up ammo if they don't have any.

Trump must not answer Mueller's questions in person.  I believe Trump, due to a mental disorder, does not know truth from lying.  I think he believes what he is saying at the moment is the truth.  The next day, he will say something entirely different about that subject, and will believe THAT is the truth.   He never admits he was wrong in something he said, because he doesn't recognize he WAS wrong.

A visual example:  He says he had more people at his inauguration than any in history, more than Obama.  There are pictures of the mall from both inaugurations and it is evident many more were there for Obama.  He has access to those photos, but still says he had more than any other president.  He cannot believe, even with visual evidence, what he said was wrong.

He will lie if he has to answer questions in person, and not know he is lying.  Think about it - he has been found to be lying many hundreds of times in the past year.  Why would one do that?  Because the person does not know it was a lie - the person every time thinks it is the truth.

If he answers Mueller in person, he will likely get himself impeached for lying under oath.

And, at this point in time when the security of the swamp is being threatened, there are even R's who will go in with the dems and vote to impeach him.

It would be far worse if he fired him after being subpoenad. The dems, and many Republicans will run to Obstruction of Justice charges.

As others have stated, it would be very wise if he answers in writing, not in person. Not only due to his proclivity to stretching/playing with the truth, but to avoid perjury traps.
