Pope Francis tells alleged sex abuse victims they committed slander
Jan 20, 2018 8:06 am

Pope Francis traveled to Chile this week in a trip promoted as a way to bring healing to victims of alleged pedophile priests in the country. The pope offered apologies to the victims, but he also said some of them committed slander by accusing a bishop of trying to cover up alleged sexual abuse by the Rev. Fernando Karadima, USA Today reports.
What happened?

During the trip, Francis spoke publicly about the need for healing, and he met in private with victims of alleged sexual abuse by priests, according to USA Today. The pope said he felt “pain and shame” over what happened. He also asked the victims for forgiveness.

Frank needs to go. I still say there’s something fishy about the whole thing.

He kind puts a whole new slant on the "Is the Pope Catholic?" thing.

Gt observes:
"He kind puts a whole new slant on the "Is the Pope Catholic?" thing."

Not completely sure about that question.

But there is one thing of which we can be sure regarding this Pope:
He's a committed leftist.

A "traditional" Christian?
Almost certainly not.

That title reads as though all the victims of a priest, accused the Bishop as covering it up.
That is not what the article said.  The Pope has no evidence the Bishop knew it was happening and covered it up.
A Bishop is over many churches.  We never see the Bishop in our Catholic Church.  Our Priest could do something against the church teaching in private and the Bishop wouldn't hear about it unless someone went to him and told him.  Now, if one of the victims went to the Bishop, that would be a different matter - from what I read, that didn't happen.  They are assuming the Bishop knew.

I’m not even sure he’s Christian at this point.

I suppose I didn’t think about that, we see our bishop regularly. We saw him at Kroger a few weeks ago and my kids excitedly yelled, “Bishop Monforton!” The bishop turned and smiled and called my son by his first name. My youngest daughter thanked him for his gift of a Christmas ornament at school and he said, “Ah, you’re in preschool 3!”

That explains why I saw the game wardens putting out porta potties for the bears.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I saw him on the news the other day and thought he seems a nice fellow.  Hope so.
