I'll wager the democrats are making a big mistake here - they're going off of polls that indicate people want 'children brought here through no fault of their own' helped, but because of how the democrats have conditioned the public to think about shutdowns in the past voters will not connect current democrat actions with any noble cause. In fact they'll do the opposite.
Well that's right. Geraldo said something similar this morning. This is going to hurt DACA, not help it. Because all those people who are going to get furloughed; all those people who are going to lose paychecks and benefits, are going to say TO HELL with DACA!
DACA cost me my job and now you expect me to support it? Are you insane? DACA can kiss my ass!
Nobody has ever accused a Liberal of being smart. They are consistently the Party of unintended consequences after all. But this was a very stupid move.
The reality of all this is, the Democrats really couldn't care less about some stupid DACA. The real goal of all this was to harass Trump, as they always do, on his one year anniversary. DACA is not the real issue. The issue is always to hector and harass Trump in any way they can. Nothing else matters to them in terms of the economy or national security or anything else. They don't care.
It is always about RESIST!
