Well, I can't give Trump any credit for anything he has done that I agree with (thanks to his rabid fanbase of sore winners), but color me largely unimpressed with a smattering of jovial amusement and chuckles sprinkled around watching Leftist and Republican Establishment heads explode.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I didn't realise actually reading was considered a vice to some people.

Oh. I thought Noreason's primary goal was to legalize all drugs and that was it......at least that is what it always looked like.

As Welch pointed out, it takes congressional action to truly reduce the state. Trump at least shows that it can be done.

His pecks away at the executive-order regulations show that much, which is the good news.

The not-so-good news: It takes congressional action and, these days, considering how much of its proper constitutional authority Congress has actually surrendered,
a presidential push in that direction. Merely flicking away a pocket full of former executive orders is going to truly reduce the State about as much as shaving away
one microscopic portion of a piranha's tooth will turn the piranha away from eating.
