White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said claims that President Donald Trump is racist are “outrageous,” citing his success as a public figure and his star turn on television as a host on NBC’s reality show “The Apprentice.”

“Frankly, if the critics of the president were who he said he was, why did NBC give him a show for a decade on TV?” Sanders said Tuesday.

Citing the hiring practices of NBC may not be the best defense, considering they employed Matt Lauer for decades.

Considering that the topic and issue here is being racist or not being racist...specifically with regards to Trump....

Matt Lauer and NBC's hiring practices have NOTHING to do with it.  JS....

The term racist is thrown around way too freely.

I don't think Trump is a racist at all.

I usually like Sarah but that was a weak defense.

I've stated it before, but though I don't believe Trump is a racist (a few quotes are questionable), I think he deliberately used rhetoric that revved up the racists in the country.  (And his comments about Africa and Haiti certainly didn't help).

Of course, I will be hammered (once again) for stating that opinion, but, it is what it is.

His thoughtlessness and running mouth don't help his cause.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

FAIL.

Racism and sexual misconduct are both issues that would be contrary to human resources policy. It definitely has everything to do with hiring practices.

You can even include the fact they have kept known liar Brian Williams around.

Speaking of "The Apprentice", I wonder where that Omarosa woman went?  She just disappeared.

No hammer in my hand at all, but I'm wondering exactly what you are referring to when you say Trump 'used rhetoric that revved up the racists in the country.'

Honest question because i don't recall that.

No, you went off into a rant about Human Resources, hiring practices and other irrelevant stuff.

So, that was a fail.

Sorry.

Good God.  If you can’t see the correlation on standards of conduct, I can’t help you. It’s pretty obvious that you got to Hawaii in this manner…

How so?  Is what I stated incorrect?  If so, how?  NBC is not the issue, right?

I wish I believed it was an honest question.

I wish you did also because it is an honest question.

I do not believe that Trump has engaged in any rhetoric that was meant to inflame racist feelings and I can't remember any such rhetoric.

Since you cited that, I just wondered exactly what you meant.

Apparently, you prefer to question my honesty than to answer the question.

A smart person would of had the book done and ready fo print BEFORE they were fired and lead out of the WH by security.  But then maybe she can't write.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Since my post was removed as being "off-topic"..........which is bizarre............. I shall try to reconstruct it so you know I'm not ignoring you, @Emjay .

Trump made multiple statements about Mexicans (and Muslims) during the campaign that revved up some racist followers.  Whether or not he is a racist himself (I doubt he is), the comments succeeded in making others, such as white supremacists, think he was.

Some general examples, referring to Mexican immigrants as "rapists" and "murderers,"  calling out a Hispanic journalist because of his race, attacking a judge who ruled against him because of his Mexican heritage (those are three I can remember off hand)........... oh yes, and the Trump Tower makes the best Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo (just a little odd when he said "I love Hispanics").

At any rate, I wasn't questioning your honesty (sorry that it seemed I was), I was merely questioning the sincerity of your question because of your antipathy to having anyone criticize Trump for any reason and your intense sarcasm toward me personally.

Hope that satisfies the censors.  It's pretty much exactly what I said, on-topic, and civilly, in the post that for some reason was removed.   I usually don't have to recreate an innocent, civil post.

Wish I didn't have to this time.  There are much better ways to spend time than repeating myself......
