Today, Florida Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings spoke to a liberal audience at the Broward County Democrats "Stronger Together" rally which was intended to unite the party ahead of November elections. While taking the stage, Rep. Hastings warmed up the crowd by telling a joke about President Donald J. Trump drowning in the Potomac River.

Rep. Hastings emceed the event and began by saying that he recently heard a joke where a colleague explained the difference between a crisis and catastrophe. "A crisis is if Donald Trump falls into the Potomac River and can't swim. And a catastrophe is if anybody saves his a**," Florida's 20th district congressman said to laughs and applause.

I know there will be the usual snivelling protests from conservatives  to the effect "if some Republican said that about Obama" whining.
Yes, yes, Democrats/liberals are incredible hypocrites aided and abetted by the media that will ignore or downplay the statements.
Actually, any elected official who makes statements like that concerning the POTUS should be suspended or dismissed from office.
Naturally, nothing of the sort will happen, and that mutt Hastings will finish his term and most likely get re-elected.
It's time that scum like Hastings be condemned and removed from office.

Most of them as a Judge...back before he was impeached.  We used to do that with crooked Judges.  Now we dress them up and run them for Congress.

For those of you who don't know,Alcee Hastings used to be a federal judge in Florida,and was caught selling sentences in a bribery sting. As a result he was removed from the bench,but NOT charged with a crime or barred from holding public office despite it having been proven that he took a 150 G bribe to throw a trial for some mob guys.

So naturally,he ran for Congress as a Dim in a "black spot on yore map" district in Florida,and surprising no one,won.

He now chairs a congressional committee that monitors classified operations and is a member of the House Special Operations Forces Caucus .

Good thing he is trustworthy and there is no danger of him taking bribes to expose secrets,huh?

Virtually all black Dem pols and numerous white Dem pols are crooks. Plus, most of them, like Hastings and Marxine Waters, are race-baiting scoundrels.
