Trump accuses FBI agent of 'treason'
By Jonathan Easley - 01/11/18 06:39 PM EST

President Trump on Thursday accused an FBI agent who criticized him while serving on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of committing “treason” against the U.S.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump argued that FBI agent Peter Strzok had plotted to undermine his presidency before he even came into office.

Strzok was once a key figure in the 2016 FBI investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified material. He was removed from the special counsel investigation into Russia's election meddling after it was discovered he exchanged anti-Trump text messages during the investigation with fellow FBI agent Lisa Page, with whom he was reportedly having an affair.

Based on the information that keeps comings in, he is absolutely correct!  Bammy, Clinton and a lot of their cronies are guilty of treason as well.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

According to Article III:

Quote
"No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. ... The Constitution defines treason as specific acts, namely "levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."

Is this how Trump defines treason? I'd prefer that our President, any President, would be more precise in his use of that word. The "aid and comfort" can be loosely defined,  but I'm just a bit uncomfortable with the charge being tossed out there without giving any proof to back it up.

Those two FBI agents should be fired, but they should also be accorded their rights under civil service regulations.
You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
