I noticed a few cruel posts re Laura's adoption.

Being a mother of an adoptive child all I can say is you must have never experienced the heartache of not being able to have your own child.  She gave these 3 children a wonderful life in the US.

I know.  I used to listen her when she was in the process of doing the first adoption.  I admire her totally for that.

We voted our conscience and our conscience did not like the choices the two parties gave us.  Unlike some people, we are not sheep.  We don't vote for one rotten candidate just to save us from another rotten candidate.

You totally voted one-half vote for Hillary.  I wish you all had the guts to admit it instead of claiming purity.

We are much better off with Trump than we would have been with Hillary.  A blind person could see that.

There are children already here to adopt, if she's so worried about immigration.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

I went there because it's true.  I think a lot of NTers on this forum are still attacking Trump because they want to justify their ignorant and traitorous behavior in failing to vote for the Republican candidate.

Unless he had actual horns and a tail, we knew he would be better than Hillary.

I did not vote for Trump and did no help Hillary in the slightest!   Your logic on this id fundamentally flawed and, in addition to that, there are many here like me but have since come to admire the good Trump has done.  Time to drop it.

And btw:  your vote FOR Trump in the state of Hawaii was a total waste by your logic.

Yeah, because we don't have any kids to adopt here in the US.

This dizzy broad rants against outsourcing and immigration all day long for a paycheck, but when the rubber meets the road, she is dragging kids in from other countries. It's a fraud. If she was genuine about her faith, which she never misses an opportunity to inject, she would hit the local Planned Parenthood and offer cold hard cash to prospective abortion customers to carry their kids to term and adopt them. That would be too big of a hassle though, I suspect.

Thanks for speaking up on that topic. Adopted children and their parents are special in my book.

Dammit, Corbe, and to think I was worried about you.  Now you're well and doing that binary thing again.

MANY things are binary.  One is a Presidential election in this country after both parties have selected their candidates.

BS.  Our vote or non-vote didn't mean a dam thing. Trump won.  He is president.  Too bad his supporters just can't get past that.

Yes, Hillary would have been awful.  But Trump is only marginally better.   Trump is not the god his supporters think he is.

You are not among the people I'm talking to.  You didn't vote for Trump because you thought he was horrible but you did help Hillary.

But you have not continued to bash Trump daily to prove the virtue of your vote.

Those are the people that I'm talking to.

I think we may see a change in Congress soon.  Congress was on tiptoes after Trump was unexpectedly elected.  Congress people are affected by the media as much or more than anyone else.

I think a lot of congress critters thought Trump would be impeached or totally ineffective.

He hasn't been impeached and he hasn't been ineffective.

They may settle back soon and realize they have a Republican president that aren't exactly crazy about but one who is here to stay for a while and they''d better get behind him on issues.

You pegged it.  I'm paraphrasing Rush, but he said as you mentioned the cowards in the Republican Party didn't want to stick out their neck because they were afraid Mueller was going to get Trump, on something (doesn't that really chap your behind someone using that kind of logic when they have a job to do) but something is not there.  There is no collusion...never was and Alan Dersherwitz said if he called Putin up from the White House and asked him for support that was not illegal...maybe unethical but if you follow Comey's reasoning for Hillary's emails (which we learned since legal terms were changed for this special person) there was 'extreme carelessness' for an illegal server, erasing emails, lieing about emails, destroying evidence and lieing to the FBI (what Flynn was endicted for) and it goes on and on.  It's all pathetic and double standards abound.

As I did also, in Texas, @Bigun but I think @Emjay is talking about me and a couple of others here and what she considers our vile 'hate' for the Man.
Trump has not disappointed me at all since he was elected, my expectation bar was only 8 short fingers off the ground to begin with.  Incidentally I just reread his 'Contract with America' and am still amazed at the folks that ate that $hit up.

I know.  Actual voters who live in what Rush calls Realville, will always vote the lesser of two evils.

They may talk pie-in-the-sky third party but when it comes down to it. they will vote for Trump against any democrat I can think of at this moment.

I remember many last election willing to go third party.  I didn't vote for Trump last election.  If Trump holds true on his campaign promises I may vote for him next election.  If he waffles on immigration anyone will do besides him or a liberal.  At that point it would not matter who wins my vote would be clearly a protest vote.

I agree mostly. Hindsight is 20/20.

If Trump had become the fear.. a stealth liberal. Then my vote for him would have been far worse than a Hillary term. However...Gorsuch alone was worth the vote. We did not know that ...until after election.

What we did know was what Hillary/regressive left was. The other choice, Trump, unknown.

One of my metrics was weather my man Cruz would back him. He did. So I voted for Trump.... damn glad I did. Not that it would have mattered here in Oklahoma. Trump would win with or without my vote, same as romney.

Honor mattered. My honor, having decided Trump was better.. over eight years of obama and then worse. I voted my conscience.

BTW, romney is the only R pres I have never voted for. I wish I had not voted for McCain........

Some Christians practically sold their souls to the devil over Trump.  There was the false Trump prophesies by that fireman guy.  I remember CBN bending over to make a big deal of it.  As if God had raised him up to save Christians.  Planned Parenthood is still open where I live.  And having politics in church isn't my idea of saving the church.

IKR? It is stunning how much of the evangelical media turned out to be for sale.
Even reaching into the Pentecostals.

I have no problem with politics in the pulpit, but not at the expense of the Word.
Tump is no Cyrus, and it is unconscionable - damnable even - that christian media plies that crap. And yes, I left the cap off Christian on purpose.
