First I'd heard that anybody gives a shat about what a washed up, one character actor thinks. (Yes, I know he was in more than just Star Wars, but it would take a trip to IMDb to remember what.)
@Cyber LibertyThere are probably more rigorous definitions of ad hominem than your reply, but I appreciate the approachability of your exposition. It doesnt tax the mind.Still, "directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining" has concise crispness.
Hammil says a lot of stupid crap but he happens to be dead on target this time.
I looked at it a little differently. My thoughts were on the lines of, "If you're going to get smacked down hard, Man, how it must suck to have it done by a washed up, one character actor from children's movies 30 years ago that nobody gives a bleep about".
Hey, watch it with those ad hominem arguments there. You might get the clap or something.
Lord knows, the last thing we need here is a clap trap!
Dayum, that's sweet!
My father always told me, "Son, if you're going ad hominem, you add as much hominem as you can."He made lousy grits, FWIW.
