Chile Recorded 8,000 Quakes In 2017

SANTIAGO, Jan. 5 (BERNAMA-NNN-XINHUA) -- Chile registered 8,094 earthquakes in 2017, the highest number since 2010, the National Seismological Center reported on Thursday.
Of the year's total -- which marks a 26 percent and 25 percent increase over 2016 and 2015 respectively, 352 were strong enough to be felt by the general population.
