Trump to host congressional leaders at Camp David

President Trump is set to host congressional leaders at Camp David early next month as Republicans prepare to defend both houses of Congress in the 2018 midterm elections.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will stay with Trump at the presidential retreat on Jan. 6-7.

The summit at the presidential mountain retreat in Maryland comes weeks after the White and House and the GOP-controlled Congress scored their first legislative victory of the year with tax reform.

•President Trump will open the new year by meeting with Republican congressional leaders to map out the 2018 legislative agenda, the White House said.
•In early January, Trump will host Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin at Camp David.

Spokesmen for Ryan and McConnell have confirmed they will attend.
