Liberal College to Offer Courses on Making the Bible Gayer

A Pennsylvania liberal arts college is preparing to offer courses next year that will teach students on how to put a gay or transgender spin on the holy bible.

Swarthmore College’s religious studies curriculum will include a course called “Queering the Bible” which would seem to be a very selective interpretation of a text designed to appeal to a small but increasingly noisy and militant demographic.

I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt the college will have a course on making the koran gayer next year.

If people wish to create a sect incorporating gayness then they are free to do so. The deconstruction of existing faiths is a different matter.

Swarthmore College offers a course in 'queering God'

One of the nation’s most prestigious liberal arts colleges is advancing a “queer theology” agenda with hopes of destabilizing traditional beliefs about what the Bible says about gender and sexuality.

Swarthmore College, founded by Quakers, is offering courses in “queering the Bible” and “queering God.” The courses were first reported by Campus Reform.  “Queering the Bible” is a one-credit class that surveys “queer and trans readings of biblical texts.”

“By reading the Bible with the methods of queer and trans theoretical approaches, this class destabilizes long held assumptions about what the Bible – and religion – says about gender and sexuality,” the course description reads.

The school’s religion department is also teaching a class that questions the sexuality of the Almighty called, “Queering God: Feminist and Queer Theology.”

How silly the bible can't be changed it is the same forever into eternity no mater what sinners want. Trying to change something they have no right to change trying to make their sinful life no longer supposedly sinful is about as stupid as liberals get and they are mighty stupid. Sin will always be sin and we all fall prey to it just ask for forgiveness don't try to downplay the words of God.
