College students come up with plug-in to combat fake news
December 25, 2017 by Pat Eaton-Robb

A team of college students is getting attention from internet companies and Congress after developing a browser extension that alerts users to fake and biased news stories and helps guide them to more balanced coverage.

The plug-in, "Open Mind ," was developed earlier this month during a 36-hour problem-solving competition known as a hackathon at Yale University.

I could write a program to do what they are doing in 5 minutes. In fact, it already exists.

All they are going to do is to setup a site blocker. Fox, RedState, Washington Examiner, and on and on will be blocked, and all the Lib sites will show up just fine. They can do that now. It is easy to block websites that you don't want to see.

What is the 'value added' function of *Open Mind*? It will come with a preset list of websites. It will install those sites in the blocked list. And they will call that a plug-in. And the Libs will eat it up.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

"So let's say there is an article that is very pro-Trump on a topic," said An. "We would then try to give you something more left of center. We can go out and find for you that alternative article."

Hahaha. Given that 90+% of the coverage is negative, good luck with your dreams, boyos!
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

So basically it seems like all this is nothing but a way to steer bigoted leftists to leftist content, and shield them from anything not leftist approved.

Which as usual, is what they really mean by 'Open Mind'.
The Republic is lost.

Does anybody else think that "Open Mind" is a hysterically ironic name for the extension?
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

Their minds are so open that their brains fell out. What a mess that makes all over their basement floor...

Just another mess for Mom to have to come mop up.  Bright side:  She saves a ton of money on Hot Pockets for them and their video gaming pals.
