Trump partly blamed Sessions for Alabama Senate loss: report
By Jacqueline Thomsen - 12/26/17 03:42 PM EST

President Trump partly blamed Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the GOP loss in the recent Alabama Senate election, The Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Trump placed blame on Sessions for Republicans losing the seat because Sessions’s departure from the Senate seat to Trump’s Cabinet had caused the special election, according to the AP.

Trump had nominated Sessions for the position, setting off the process. Sen.-elect Doug Jones (D-Ala.) defeated Roy Moore (R) in the election earlier this month.

Well I blame Trump for picking Sessions for AG in the first place.

Not real sure how that works.

Well, Trump apparently isn't bright enough to realize that he's blaming himself for the Alabama Senate loss as well.

Unless he had nothing to do with picking Sessions??

I mean, which decisions are actually his?  Do we know??

Sessions seems to have a bottomless capacity for taking abuse.

Many of us thought Sessions was a good pick at the time.

Alabama's going democrat is not Sessions' fault.  It's the fault of cowards who didn't like Moore to begin with and lapped up the lame accusations against him.

And the Dems took advantage of that, and we lost a seat.

When will we learn?

We lost a seat because we ran a loser.  Someone with really poor judgment.   It was a self inflicted wound.

I think more losses are coming for the same reason.

I'm not gonna be the millioneth person to join that argument.

Well, maybe I am.  Roy Moore was not everyone's cup of cocoa but he was a decent man and a conservative and we elected a baby killer and are all proud of ourselves for it.

Again, the GOP proved they would rather throw a Good Conservative (Mo Brooks) under the bus than win an election.

Certainly there is.  There's not much, but it is definitely there.

Recently, Trump bemoaned the Republicans’ loss in a special election in Alabama and in part blamed Sessions, whose departure from the Senate to head to Justice necessitated the election.

Trump was so furious that he chopped down a Magnolia tree. But he couldn't tell a lie to Melania so she made him skip a silver dollar across the Potomac. He's like another George Washington, this guy.

If all you damn NT'ers would show a little more appreciation the World would be a better place.

I don't understand that primary.  Consequently, I don't know who to blame.  Mo Brooks was the obvious choice.

Since I don't know who to blame, I think I'll blame you @corbe.  You are responsible.

Nah, it is easy to play the blame game.. Not because the candidate was crap, but it was someone else's fault.
