Same nevertrumper I was 30 years ago when Trump was appearing on trashy tabloid TV.

The same nevertrumper I was 3 years ago when we all knew he was a lying fecal smear of a liberal.

The same nevertrumper I am today laughing in the face of Trumpers who wish they could enact the final solution against those who don't worship Orange Glorious but lack the stones to do so.  :silly:

Absolutely right CC. Those crazy Trumpanzees should be sent to mental institutions! They are the scum of the Earth and they are ruining our vision of what America should be. Trumpers are mental midgets.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Not for "not voting for someone", @RoosGirl    ....for being wrong about the man and how he might govern.    *****rollingeyes*****

@DCPatriot

It even that.  How about just admitting that he's doing some good stuff and isn't as bad as feared.

But alas their ego is more important then the country.

Not all, but there are plenty of people here that have done that.  Why focus on just the couple that don't?  That seems like an exercise in futility.

If you hated Trump during the election you owe it to yourself to rethink Trump now in light of what he’s accomplished for conservatives in his first year. Achievements arguably equal to President Reagan’s first year accomplishments.

Notice I said accomplishments? These two were different men with different characters. There’s no meaningful comparison to make between the two, except to say that Reagan evolved in his political journey to embrace conservatism (and the Republican Party) and Trump comes by it instinctively somehow, not as a studied ideology but as a matter of recognizing it as the best governance possible to give America and Americans the biggest bang for the buck — a rising tide lifts all boats, sort of thing. Practical conservatism.

Trump has a distinctive personality and skill set to be sure, and he does tend to upset a lot of folks who have very set ideas about how a president should act — as if that somehow predicts good presidential outcomes. Remember, Obama acted presidential and gave eloquent, soaring speeches. But, to what end? His presidency served the open border socialist, Islamist Left.

At least President Trump has accomplished conservative things. And if he holds to his word, with no reason to believe otherwise, there will be much more to come. That gives him a lot of leeway with me regarding his quirky personality, and it aught to with other self identifying conservatives.

What has the President accomplished to demonstrate he’s a sound FISCAL conservative?  His first budget added to the debt and deficit. He ran on NOT tackling entitlement reform. He’s now talking about infrastructure and in June discussed a $1T infrastructure plan. Where’s that money coming from?  Sure, he’s cut taxes but it remains to be seen whether that adds to or subtracts from the debt/deficit. What are his actual fiscal conservative accomplishments to date?  Personally, I’m a fiscal conservative, and I just haven’t yet seen the evidence (in terms of actual accomplishments) that he’s truly a fiscal conservative.
I adore facts and data and abhor lies and liars.

Trump is a Keynesian. His attitude is that we can spend all we want and the future will take care of itself.(It will be our grandkids problem) He doesn't care about debt and even openly stated during the campaign that if we default we can just print more money.

I can't wait to see the new Trump designed trillion dollar Trump notes we'll need to buy a gallon of gas.

The belief is that we’ll just grow our way out of debt and deficits.  Sadly, nobody wants to take on our unsustainable debt because the cuts needed to do that would be unpopular.

So which are you? The good, the bad, or the ugly?

After one year of hating on Trump some of these reputed conservative folks should be asking themselves which is more important? Your children’s future or your freaking ego?
I voted for him (to avoid Hillary), and I like a number of things he done. But I still don't like him.  He's still a loudmouthed schmuck.  What's he done could have been done and done better by Cruz or someone else.
The best proof will be in the coming 2018 midterms if many Dems are elected.
It's not just what's happening now, it's what will or won't happen in the future.
Trump is a very poor model for responsible conservatism.  Which, of course, many Trumpists like yourself now abhor.
But populism or Trumpism will go with Trump. Then what?
If the ideals of conservatism go down in flames, the country goes down in flames.
So while I'm satisfied with a number of positive things happening now, the future is what I'm worried about.

IMO, it's a case of 'you' wanting to fight the wrong battle on the wrong day in the wrong weather with the wrong weapons.

We don't give a fig about the advance of [insert-your-idea] of Conservatism.   (BTW--it's happening in front of your eyes everyday)

What are you looking for, especially.... that would make you less upset?

Realize that there is an entire generation out there born AFTER 9-11.... raised not on B&W westerns where the bad guy gets his due in an hour or less...but rather indoctrinated at a critical age...in Socialism.

I'm not singling any particular poster, but GEEZUS, sometimes the lack of  political self-awareness is astounding.

I’m looking for a fiscal conservative. People keep telling me he’s accomplished so much as a conservative and that it’s all happening before my eyes yet when I ask for examples of his FISCAL conservative actual accomplishments in the first year (as I did in Reply #30), I’m often met with crickets from the Trump supporters.  I’m looking for a balanced budget, no deficit spending, tackling of the debt and entitlements, and term limits (so we can really attack the debt).  Those are fiscal conservative principles IMO. Are those happening before my eyes?

I'm right there with you @Concerned regarding Fiscal Conservatism.

But, let's be honest.  The past decade has witnessed the DOUBLING of the debt to over $20 TRILLION.   To us, that's monopoly money.

And they say, when you owe the bank $20K they own your ass...but owe them $20 TRILLION?   You're the 'King of the World'.

As stated above, it's to the point where not many of these so-called DACA members are going to be deported.  At best, perhaps, prune Chain Migration.  Actually, drown it.

So, you're always working 50% of the country having lived HAPPILY, it seems, under Marxist Socialism...or WTF it was under Barack Obama

Donald Trump is seizing the opportunity to show THIS generation, what it showed MY generation back in 1980.

...and a helluva lot MORE!!

Love ya, brother!  @aligncare

And as I said today...it's difficult to spell Italian words properly, if you only go by what you hear.

For example, Mangia!  to eat...., is something like Mangiare.

So what is the proper spelling of "Goombah", or is it merely an Italian term of endearment for cousins, and the like?

Ragan is almost universally felt to be the best modern era President, by "conservatives," yet he ran huge deficits.

List of countries by tax revenue to GDP ratio

Net government debt as percent of GDP

Any country could simply cut spending, raise taxation, grow (or shrink) GDP

From those listed, which IN YOUR VIEW has the best solution for this dilemma?
