Jameson reportedly said he was inspired by the New York terror attack on Oct. 31, when a man drove into a crowd and killed eight people, and the deadly 2015 shooting in San Bernardino. The documents also say Jameson was posting and liking pro-ISIS and pro-terrorism content on Facebook.   ...

Its just a matter of time before some muslim loser rubs leftwing SF's nose in their own hubris.

Sounds a bit like another sting which I don't really mind when they catch the bad guys but some people seem to take issue with such a tactic based on libertarian principles.

One really wonders about the psychology, attraction for mostly males but some females too, to convert to Islam. Like the famous singer, Cat Stevens converted and I know of another case. I guess, these people think they have found the "true religion".

The FBI announced on Friday that it arrested California tow truck driver Everitt Aaron Jameson for plotting a Christmas terror attack on Pier 39 in San Francisco.

In statements to undercover informants, Jameson outlined a plan that would have involved running civilians down with his truck, deploying improvised explosives, and using his skills as a Marine sharpshooter to increase the body count. A note he evidently intended for publication after the attack swore allegiance to ISIS and cited President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as a reason for his actions.

FBI documents state that Jameson planned to use his tow truck for a mass-casualty attack on Pier 39 because he “had been there before and knew it was a heavily crowded area.” He reportedly said Christmas would be “the perfect day to commit the attack.”

I saw it at TOS: but it really is true, look at a number of stories on this incident and the stories seem to highlight that this Everett fellow was in the Marines. So Breitbart here has better reporting imho.

That's pretty disgusting.

But I wouldn't saddle the BBC alone for doing this.

I guess the VOA, Voice of America does okay in small letter.

He finished basic training and then was let go for fraudulent enlistment, so not really a marine.  Also not really right in the head.  Thank God he was not able to carry out his plan.

A former Marine has been arrested for plotting a Christmas Day attack on San Francisco's Pier 39.

The FBI announced on Wednesday that Everitt Aaron Jameson from Modesto, California, had been taken into custody.

They found a manifesto at his home which denounced Trump for recently declaring Jerusalem Israel's capital and they also discovered three handguns and four fireworks.

For months, Jameson had been speaking to an undercover FBI agent who he thought was a high-ranking member of a terror group.

Agents started looking into him after one of their sources flagged his Facebook profile to them. The source said they noticed him 'liking' posts in support of ISIS and terror attacks against the US.
