Seems really really strange that all these "super" conservatives who reject Trump because he's so awful are upset and nit pickin about a tax cut.

What is bad about a tax cut?
It is just another nit to pick, by democrats, liberals, socialists, and some die-hard #nevertrumpers which strangely seem to be on the left on a surprisingly large fraction of subjects.

(I once managed a large corporate payroll department-paying thousands, with very complex situations like temp assignments overseas, housing allowances, payment or equalization of foreign taxes, etc.)

I hate payroll.  which is why I pay a payroll company about $60 a pay period to do all this for me.

Well you do have all of next year to make adjustments to the withholdings
  good grief.

Yes, but the earlier in the year that you make the changes, the easier it is.

As it turned out, I hated that position. But it was the manner whereby you moved up. Do as you were asked. Next they sent me to NYC and IBM's system development management course. We were trying to design a new payroll/personnel system. I failed, they did not do a new system, I left the firm, my successor tried, failed as well, etc. The obstacle was a strong decentralized culture. Nobody could dictate anything from "Corporate."

I can understand it, but I don't like it. I would rather drive around looking at properties, listening to music.

Except that it isn't.

Pelosi and Reid kept the content of the Obamacare bill back and those voting on it didn't even have the text.    This bill is the product of deal making, like many bills and as a result things were going in and out until the last minute.

Yes Congress should have done this 6 months  ago.   Why are you so friggen sad that something good was passed?  Do  you hate Trump that much that you'd prefer the country burn to the ground rather than him have a success?

You're the first person to make any mention of Trump in relation to this issue.  Why so sensitive?

@driftdiver was "talking" to you @RoosGirl   So, in the spirit of the season why not stay out of it and not stir trouble?   :tree3:

I'm confused about something.  If something is not in a PM and is posted on the open forum, isn't it understood that every comment is addressed to anybody who reads it?

You're not confused at all.  That is exactly correct.  GD I hate being told what to do by other peons.

No, you're not confused @Cyber Liberty .... But why jump into something just to cause disruption and personal arguments---especially if the post was directed at the responder?

Can we find some peace here, at least through the season?  It'll all be here at the New Year.

Listen lady, the only one causing disruption and personal arguments is you.  I asked driftdiver a valid and civil question.  No one mentioned Trump prior to him, no one that I saw was blaming Trump in any for the withholding confusion. So why bring it up?

I didn't know that asking driftdiver a simple question would start a war.  He and I have had many civil conversations since agreeing to get past initial difficulties.  Maybe you know something about him that I don't?

Merry Christmas to you.

Might be because it's not much of a story.  Politico looking for a novel way to complain about the tax bill.  Destined to be about minutia from the get-go.

That was a low blow @truth_seeker
Quit shure bitchin' and go find some quality Thread content, perhaps at TOS.
I sure can't go over there and complain about the Threads or content without being bombarded by a bunch of ying yangs and getting a time-out.

Why would you post on a forum and then complain when you get a response?  Makes no sense.

H3ll, @truth_seeker  I can't go a week without threats of a timeout from the Mods for some of my stupid posts, but insinuating that Briefers are generally vapid is an insult to all of us and I for one will not stand for it and if the Mods PM me or time me out, I will respect their decision, they have a very tough job keeping this bunch on an even keel.

@RoosGirl

Because every thread about this issue is blamed on Trump.  Why else would anyone complain about a tax cut?  Why?

He'll you NTs bring Trump into every single damn thread and now you're bitching about it.
