Not really.  Orthodox Jews have been a Republican demographic for a while.  The only neighborhood in NYC carried by Romney in 2012 was the one with the biggest concentration of Hasidim.  It's the Reformed and Conservative Jews who are a Democrat demographic.

Kiryas Joel in Orange County, NY.

The locals in town, my daughters being two, are fed up with the rapid influx of Hasidics. They’ve transformed the town in the space of a few years. Their women pop out babies faster than a Pez dispenser:

God must love them because he made so many of them.
