‘Insurance Policy’ text from FBI agent referred to Russia investigation: report

The anti-Trump text message referring to “an insurance policy†was reportedly alluding to the probe into Russia’s election interference and any potential ties between Trump campaign staff members and Moscow.
The Wall Street Journal, citing individuals familiar with FBI agent Peter Strzok’s message, said the agent did not mean to indicate that there was a plan to damage President Trump. Strzok’s message, instead, intended to mean that Trump could win the election, and therefore the probe “couldn't afford to take a more measured approach,†the Journal said.
