The Memo: Team Trump in shock as Flynn flips

President Trump was pitched into a deepening crisis on Friday as his former national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and announced that he was cooperating with the team of investigators spearheaded by special counsel Robert Mueller.

The news, which broke early on Friday morning, delivered a seismic shock to the Trump team.

“Terrible,” was the verdict of one source close to Trump, speaking on condition of anonymity. The source added that Mueller’s success in getting Flynn to flip was “very dangerous” for the president.

   Pence would be another Gerald R. Ford, boring, particularly post Trump, but ideologically, a bust, that's why Trump picked him.     
   Personally, I'd rather have Trump, at least he keeps it entertaining.

I don't know much about Pence, but judging by his demeanor and really very low key profile to date, it would seem that he'd suck up to the GOPe and the DEMS.  I still don't know why Trump picked him.  Nope, don't won't Pence at all...unless of course he'd pick Cruz as his VP.

LOL. I am damn sure you dream of having some stick in the mud loser, who was about to be thrown out of office in his own state, becoming President. Just imagine the tens of tens of followers Pence would have for reelection! Christ, I'll bet the Sheboygan Ladies Knitting Club would even endorse him!

Wow. Some apparently long for those golden years, when Dole, McCain and Romney lost.

Lost without color or fanfare. Lost quietly, gracefully.

Those were the GOP's best  years, for some. And they could have had it all over again, in 2016 were it not for Trump.

Just think, about how predictanle and tradtional a Kasich or JebBush loss would have been.

But oh so dignified, without Twitter etc.
