Jared Kushner directed Michael Flynn to contact Russian government in Dec. 2016: Report
by Melissa Quinn | Dec 1, 2017, 2:06 PM

Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a senior adviser at the White House, reportedly directed former national security adviser Michael Flynn to contact the Russian government, and others, about a United Nations resolution on Israeli settlements in Dec. 2016, according to a report.

Two former members of Trump’s transition team told Bloomberg that Kushner instructed Flynn to reach out to foreign governments, including Russia, about the resolution before the United Nations Security Council and try to convince Russia to either oppose or delay the vote.

Court documents filed Friday said a “very senior member” of the Trump transition team directed Flynn to make contacts with Russian government officials, but the member was not identified.

So the bleep what?  This is after the election, when Donald Trump was President-elect with his transition team in place.  Contacting foreign leaders is part of that team's job.

FBI reviewed Flynn’s calls with Russian ambassador but found nothing illicit
Washington Post, Jan 23, 2017, Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller

The FBI in late December reviewed intercepts of communications between the Russian ambassador to the United States and retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn — national security adviser to then-President-elect Trump — but has not found any evidence of wrongdoing or illicit ties to the Russian government, U.S. officials said.

The calls were picked up as part of routine electronic surveillance of Russian officials and agents in the United States, which is one of the FBI’s responsibilities, according to the U.S. officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss counterintelligence operations.

I would hope he directed him to talk with quite a few governments...and that he directed all kinds of contacts and discussions of a similar nature around the globe. That's what incoming administrations do so they hit the ground running...not doing so would have been gross negligence. This announcement is akin to saying Jared Kushner directed staffers to put together economic plans for the upcoming year, or looked at military readiness.

Not really sure why anyone would care about the administration contacting ANYONE in December 2016.
