Information from USGS

Looks like the epicenter was under Delaware Bay, between New Jersey and Delaware. Also, it's been reviewed and downgraded to M4.1.
Let it burn.

USGS can downgrade or upgrade... usually it's a downgrade.

Ironic this happened during the Senate tax reform debate.

Bob, the geologist, said if it was felt in Allentown, Penn., it is a deep earthquake.  (He is also from Penn.)

Had a 4.1 outside of Dallas a few years ago.  The damage at my house was extensive.

Nope...it's a shallow one. Only about 5 miles deep.

@Suppressed

Thanks for the ping, @Freya.

I happened to be down in Dover today, so at 6 miles from the epicenter, and it being such a shallow quake, I was only 8 miles from the focus. I don't think I'll ever be that close to a quake again!

I was indoors, and the sound was similar to one of the big cargo planes that fly into and out of the Air Force Base there, but with the shaking, I hoped it wasn't one of them crashing.  I was glad it continued and I could be sure it was a quake.  What fun! ^-^

I have relatives in Delaware. The one working in Dover said he didn't feel a thing.  :shrug:
