Mitch McConnell is confident the Senate will pass tax reform 'either late tonight or early tomorrow'
by Susan Ferrechio | Nov 30, 2017, 10:43 AM

A confident Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday the Senate will take a final vote on a $1.4 trillion tax package as soon as Thursday night or by Friday at the latest.

"We are on the cusp of a great victory for the country and particularly small business," McConnell said at an event featuring small business owners praising the GOP tax plan.

McConnell said the Senate is on track to finish the bill this week.

"We are going down the homestretch toward the finish line," McConnell said. "Either late tonight or early tomorrow."

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Well Mitch, if you don't get it done you might polish off the Minority Leader desk plaque. Maybe that's what you want anyway, but fail and you will likely get it.
