To the forum administrators:
It is unfortunate that this forum does not discuss religion,
especially considering that religion was
THE top motivation of America's founders!
Religion has always had a very close relationship
with government throughout all history!
Kings relied on the endorsement of priests
(invoking the approval of God himself)
in addition to the force that their soldiers could apply.
Religion plays a central role in world affairs today.
It is the left that keeps denying that Islam is a motive for terrorism.
(The definition of terrorism is, of course,
"violence intended to provoke political change.")
The terrorists themselves vigorously proclaim that
they are carrying out their violence
to establish a global government by Islam.
In Islam, there is NO separation of church and state.
In Islam, religion IS the government!
If we, by not discussing the subject, blind ourselves to their agenda,
we are condemning ourselves to
being conquered by Islamic totalitarianism!
Islam is the ULTIMATE totalitarianism!
The Soviet Union and Communism are a DISTANT second!
It is quite an anomaly that a conservative forum
would have a policy
that mirrors the leftist policy of the U.S. government!
In 1954, Senator Lyndon Johnson added an amendment to a bill
(which passed, and was in full force
until President Trump started to eliminate it)
that forbade churches from fulfilling the pivotal role in society
that they had conducted, not just from America's founding,
but since the first day the Pilgrims landed in Massachusetts!
It was the preachers (the "Black-Robed Regiment")
that did most of the recruiting for the American Revolution.
It was preachers who led the drive to abolish slavery.
And it was preachers who got taken out of the way in 1954,
thereby clearing the path for the racing socialism
we've had inflicted on us ever since!
The fact is, the Bible has been
the root source of most of conservatism
throughout all history!
Discussing conservatism without mentioning the Bible is like
discussing the Civil War without mentioning Abraham Lincoln!
Here is my suggestion:
Establish a new category in which to discuss religion,
perhaps under "general category."
Of course, existing rules, such as
"no personal attacks on other forum participants"
should still apply.
(But it should ALWAYS be open season
on religious charlatans like Al Sharpton!)
And, being that this is a conservative,
and not primarily a religious forum,
it should be required that any discussion of religion
have some connection to public policy or culture.
Also, it would make sense that
a thread be moved to the religion category
only if it is PRIMARILY about religion.
A passing mention of religion
should not cause a thread to be moved from
the category of its primary subject.
It would also make sense to
pin a thread at the top of the new category,
making the rules easily viewable.
You're the admins. You're in control. The decision is entirely yours.
But I hope you see the merits of this suggestion,
and would like to see it implemented in some form.
