Then column then offer suggests different ways for adult-children to customise their own Thanksgiving tantrums:

I once heard my favorite democrat, Pat Cadell, talking about regrets.

He deeply regretted being alienated from his parents during the Viet Nam War.

He wishes he could have that time with them back.

But ... if we choose to alienate family over politics, we can't get it back.

Fat chance of that. My liberal sister is way over in Chicago, and as for the rest of us, I doubt anyone will mention Tump's name... because spitting at the table is impolite.

I would encourage avoidance of political talk at family gatherings.

I care deeply for my family but we do disagree politically, at least some of us.

We just avoid discussing it.

If I want to cuss someone out I'll do it here on TBR where no one will notice or take me out of their will.

Well, I am going to use this thread to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Consider it "Jacked".

I am thankful to see the last Sunrise(opps..random capitalization) , thankful we all here are at each others throats, most of all , I am thankful that life is generally pretty good.
