Franken is on record of making a number of statements that conflict with prevailing liberal talking points. In an interview from the seventies he is quoted as saying he hated homosexuals and was glad one was murdered in an incident in Philadelphia druing that time.
I wonder if he's now wishing he would have avoided show biz. He was never very funny anyway. His act with Tom Davis was mediocre at best.
