I used to live next door to a geriatric facility. The people there were 70 years old and older. Some of them much older. Once in a while I would go over there to volunteer and visit with the residents.
Most of them had no idea where they were or what was going on. But that's OK. They still had their life in their own sort of way. They simply had no more time for the external world and mostly lived inside themselves with their own memories. In my apartment, I would hear an ambulance almost every day. Sometime more than once in a day. It was a noisy place to live.
That's what I see when I look at Congress today. It reminds me of that place. Looking over the roster of Congress or the roster at that home, the similarities are striking.
These guys certainly seem determined to die at their desks. And nothing will get them out of there except death. They are in a fight for power with the American people, but their bigger fight is with Death itself and the will of God. And that is a fight they can never win.
I can see Pelosi/McCain, et al, facing and spitting on Death when he shows up to escort them. I can picture them yelling, "How dare you come for me! Don't you know who I am!!!!"
I can tell you this from experience. Once the gerontocrats start dropping, it is going to be a domino effect. The way the situation stands now, with the current ages, we could lose a third or up to half of Congress over the space of just a few years. When it starts happening, it will happen quickly.
