Italy's plan for Sweden in WCup playoff: 'Play like Italy'

ROME (AP) — Italy has a straightforward plan to avoid missing its first World Cup in six decades — just play its usual game in the playoff against Sweden.

After all, Italy has gone unbeaten against Sweden in their last five meetings and won four of the encounters, including 1-0 last year at the European Championship.

Perhaps making matters less complicated, standout striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic retired from Sweden duty after Euro 2016.

Pretty exciting, World Cup playoffs and the Honduras/Australia playoff coming to decide who goes to the World Cup.

2 game series or as they say 2 leg playoffs.

Italy Sweden, I'd pick Italy. 10 years ago, I detested the Azzurri's style, maybe some day I will appreciate it. They have had some fine players though. We all remember when the USA played them in '06.

Northern Ireland/Switzerland , I think I have to go with Switzerland.

Croatia Greece, I've got to pick Croatia.

Denmark Republic of Ireland, Denmark.

First playoffs today,

Switzerland at Northern Ireland,   13:45, so I'm saying this is 1:45 CST.
Croatia at Greece, same time.

They did it yesterday, I hate that though as in the first video, faking injuries, etc., in turn,   Italy has also had some of the best soccer players to ever play, that Pirlo fellow is great.
