No branch or agency of government, even if subject to popular election, will ever voluntarily agree to reduce its own power.

Nor by force of legislation or law either.

Corruption will negate any attempts made to reduce the power of the Beast, because too much money is at stake.

You cannot stop tyranny at the ballot box.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

If they had followed the model the Democrats use, they would have been writing bills and just waiting for a chance to stuff the hopper when they got a chance to pass them. It's how the Dems did so much damage when BO got elected. They had the whole convoy of misery loaded up and ready to roll when the doors opened.

That's exactly right.  What have they been doing?

Trump "used to be" a Democrat.

Maybe he has a hidden agenda.

Yeah.  I don't buy the story that Trump has "evolved."  I have long felt his presidency was meant to finish off an already dying Republican Party a lot sooner.  Why do we bother having two parties anyway?   Neither one of them represents the average person or listens to anything we say.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
