Shooter wore a black mask with a white skull face. He called his father while fleeing saying he'd been shot and might not make it. Not known at this time if the hero who shot him killed him or he died from a self-inflicted wound.

Considering there was someone shooting at him with a rifle, and he likely would not have shot himself with one, if he called his dad and was wounded while he was driving/talking on the phone, chances are the wound that he was talking about was not self-inflicted. He may have killed himself later.

IMHO, the MSM types will play down the armed citizen aspect to hype gun control.

It is now being reported that Kelley was convicted of cracking his infant stepson's skull!  What a sick bastard!  So, explain to me how someone like that is then released and allowed to walk the streets again?

I heard it mentioned somewhere that it was an AR 15 but most in the media don't know the difference between their asses and a hole in ground. Until I hear from a Texas LEO, I can't be sure.

I don't know that any of this "proof" proves anything. A You Tube video, Gateway Pundit and some site I never heard of --American Military News.   Not reliable sources.

Sounds to me like the perp was another loser who blamed his woes on others and decided to take his frustrations out on a congregation of Christian believers.  I don't see proof that he was part of any organized anarchy group.  Not all atheists want to shoot up a church.

I really hate conspiracy theories.

Though he did not identify Willeford by name, Texas Department of Public Safety Regional Director Freeman Martin said at a news conference Monday that the armed resident who confronted Kelley was toting an "AR assault rifle and engaged" the shooter.

So now, the press can't demonize those black rifles without decrying the very rifle which was used to stop the shooter.
