I wish he hadn't done that, but let's face it.  A lot of our merry band of brothers here voted for Hillary.

Maybe not literally, but by sanctimoniously refusing to vote for Trump and voting for some obscure third or fourth party candidate, they were voting for Hillary.

I've read many, many posts to that effect, especially shortly after the election.

It's died down now because Trump has been a good president but it happened.

And, yes, I do cut 93-year-olds some slack.

Have to work hard to stay up there

I am proud I didn't vote for either.  For once in my voting life I stuck to my principles.  I voted for Romney and McCain even though I had to choke the vote out.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

I really struck a never here, apparently.  I think I had one defender.  Sweet.

When I said that people who were driven to insanity because a 93 year old man voted for Hillary were being hypocrites because dozens of people here gave Hillary at least one-half vote by either not voting or voting for a third party loser it kinda hit home, didn't it?

Well, jump on me all you want.  Have fun.  But I won't see it.  I'm going to church.

Speaking of choke.... over the years....

I have had to choke on the FACT that I actually voted for that ahole McCain.

Never (and I do mean never).... again.

me either.  I would rather not vote than vote for someone that makes me choke.  That is where I was at this election.  Just had to say no.  It was about morals.

Proud to have voted for Trump, people like Ben Shapiro and indeed Michael Medved, who speak about defending life are nothing but big phonies to me because they were anti-Trumpers and would have continued us on the road Obama put us on.  They talk the talk but don't do the walk, now, they can do nothing but try and pounce on any perceived weakness they see in Trump.

I had thought that Trump’s words and actions might make me come to regret my write-in vote.  I had hoped that Trump would bring a fresh, creative perspective to legislative negotiations and compromise (e.g., ObamaCare repeal and replace).    I had hoped that he would cherish and respect the office of the Presidency, grow into the office, and drop the childish name-calling, petty bickering, and personal attacks.  I had hoped that he would be a stand-up leader of the Republican Party, and be someone the party could unify around.  Instead, I have no regrets about my write-in vote and believe he really is simply the “blowhard” that Bush labeled him as.
I adore facts and data and abhor lies and liars.

You mean.... kinda like Bush Sr. is doing or has done in his "book".... which is being defended by certain folks that you apparently agree with here in this very same thread?

Irony.

Accusing those of us that did not vote for Trump of having, in effect, voted for Hillary is mere projection on her part, IMO.   She is accusing us of what she, herself, did and apparently feels guilty about.   That's my take on it.

Hi all, it's me, Mod2.  I thought we'd straightened this crapola out about calling people who did not vote for Trump "Hillary voters."  Water under the bridge and all that.

One more time:  There are no Hillary voters here.  Stop calling them that and people will stop defending themselves from that personal attack.

More to the point:  Mod1 is nice, I am not.  If we don't drop this unpleasant aspect of the Trump Wars I'm locking this damned thread, and I may or may not unlock it later.

Thanks for your attention.

Here I was all proud of the fact that since I voted third party I voted for POTUS three times and now people are saying that isn't true. Pretty disheartening.

Soon after voting for Ross Perot in 1992, I sobered up, had a "what did I do?" revelation, noticed Bush and Perot NOT in office, and began a process of maturing politically.

Since then the GOP has run Dole, McCain and Romney--all lost. But I voted for them, and would do so again.

The democrats love when "conservatives" split their votes. They chuckle over the "virtue signaling," moral protestations, etc.

Trump is doing most of the conservative governance, that conservatives have said they wanted over the previous election cycles.

That said.... even though I don't agree with everything Trump says and does (still)....  I would probably vote for him in 2020 .....

IF something dire doesn't happen, IF he doesn't lurch left and IF things continue to improve (economy, jobs, national defense, etc.) under his policies.  I would be, in effect, voting against the radical left.... which is what I have always done.

But as far as voting in future for another squish... or worse, another RINO traitor like McCain....

not just no, but HELL NO.
