Two ancient skeletons have been uncovered during sewer replacement works by Southern Water in Ramsgate.

Working with partners Archaeology South East (ASE), a team of scientists used a special method called Carbon 14 dating to determine the age of the bones.

It discovered that both of the skeletons were in fact from Roman times, one dating back to AD 428 to 630 and the other to 200 to 39 BC.
