White House slams Bushes for Iraq War after ‘blowhard’ dig
NY Post, Nov 4, 2017,  Mary Kay Linge

The White House punched back at both Presidents Bush on Saturday over their criticism of fellow Republican President Donald Trump as a destructive force in the party.

“If one presidential candidate can disassemble a political party, it speaks volumes about how strong a legacy its past two presidents really had,” a White House official told CNN. “And that begins with the Iraq war, one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in American history.”

This I can applaud.  Good for him.  He is right at every level.  Trump won because the Bush family was a failure.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Trump won because the GOP base is an intellectual failure.

Trump won because the GOP base is an intellectual failure.

That same sentiment can be applied to Bush, McConnell and the entirety of the GOP leadership caste that has held office since Reagan.  The 'lesser of two evils' meme and the discarding of principles for 'pragmatism' has doomed their party to the fate it richly deserves.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Trump is right on schedule to do to the RNC what obummer did to the DNC and for this I applaud him enthuseactively.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

The base really turned the corner and headed for the home plate of intellectual failure with Trump.  Everything else pales in comparison.

It is not really that easy to judge Bush Sr.

He was only in office for 4 years and a huge part of how we view him is the Gulf war.

Amen.

And there are always threads about McCain.  He was another failure that GOP pushed on us.  But here is the remnants of failed policy which I think has lead us to Trump victory.

Do not attempt to use fairness about any Bush to this crowd.  They have their pitchforks and torches out.

Talking about the Iraq war under Bush 43, I was reading how Bush 41 is critical of the war but whom he goes after are Rumsfield and Cheney.

On another note, one of those who went to the same Mosque as this past week's NY killer said he was for Trump, that he was against Bush 43 because the war took a heavy toll on Arabs.

This is actually a bit like what George HW Bush said, George HW Bush said this 2nd "liberation of Iraq" was too hard against Muslims.

The Bushes were given 12 years in the WH .... and all they did was try and implement their New World Order, an order they are trying to protect now.

12 years is a pretty damn fair amount of time to give this clan, and more than enough time for their true political colors to bleed through the veneer.
