Did U.S. Troops Die in Niger Protecting French and Chinese Uranium?

America was surprised when U.S. troops in Niger were ambushed, with four killed, on October 4. Why are more than 1,000 U.S. soldiers in this desolate region of Western Africa, in one of the world’s least developed nations?

According to Defense Secretary James Mattis, America’s mission there is “supporting the French-led and the African troops in the campaign to throw ISIS and the terrorists, the radicals, those who foment instability and murder and mayhem, off their stride.”

That Yellow Cake Iraq had was suppose to come from Niger. So, yes, it looks like the most desolate place on earth.

I wasn't aware of what this wikipedia article says. I just thought that yellow cake uranium came from Niger or one of those countries around there.

The wikipedia article must be just one article, I'm pretty sure, Iraq still had yellow cake uranium from Niger, something to research. Iraq already had some of this stuff.
