Carter volunteers to help solve tensions with North Korea
By John Bowden - 10/21/17 07:04 PM EDT

Former President Jimmy Carter says he is open to working with President Trump to solve the growing tensions between the U.S. and North Korea.

In an interview with The New York Times' Maureen Dowd, Carter said he would go to the country to work on negotiations.

“I would go, yes,” Carter said. He pointed to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's unpredictability as a major reason why diplomacy was so necessary.

“I’m afraid, too, of a situation,” he continues. “I don’t know what they’ll do. Because they want to save their regime. And we greatly overestimate China’s influence on North Korea. Particularly to Kim Jong-un. He’s never, so far as I know, been to China.”

Yes because Carter was such a competent president. LOL

Carter thinks he's such a genius because he got Israel and Egypt together. Egypt basically had no choice but to sign a peace treaty with Israel if Egypt wanted the Sinai Peninsula back. Carter basically had no influence whatsoever over those proceedings.

Certainly without a doubt Carter would have no influence whatsoever on Fatboy, other than Fatboy thinking the US must be weak to send over an idiot such as this.

Carter is the one who negotiated with NK over nuclear weapons under Bill Clinton. He's the one who claimed to have prevented NK from pursuing nuclear weapons. He did a Chamberlian peace in our time foolishness.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Carter could not get the hostages in Iran freed. Ronald Reagan freed them. He could not even pass a simple arms control treaty(SALT II) which never went into effect..
